Thursday, October 3rd. Baltimore, MD.

This October, we are happy to announce that our next donation is going to the Rescued Pets Movement of Houston, Texas for $5,000! Rescued Pets Movement (RPM) established in 2013 is a nonprofit 501c3 based organization dedicated to working to save dogs and cats all around the United States!

Each year, thousands of adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the Greater Houston area each year simply because of pet overpopulation. After working with various rescue groups for many years, the founders of Rescued Pets Movement realized that the best way to save these dogs and cats is to build solid relationships with reputable rescue groups around the United States where there is a need for adoptable pets and transport the animals to these organizations using their own vans and drivers.

The dogs and cats that RPM saves from BARC (Houston’s City Pound) and other area shelters are fully examined and treated by partner veterinarians and vet staff. They are then placed temporarily in foster homes with RPM volunteers until they are ready for transport to their new homes.

Since starting operations in late 2013, Rescued Pets Movement has saved the lives of over 91,000 homeless companion animals by rescuing them from area shelters and transporting them to permanent homes. The number of rescued pets RPM saves is growing every week!

One of those lucky pups saved by RPM is Wilma. Wilma was on the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in Houston due to severe Demodex (a stubborn skin condition requiring antiparasitic medication. RPM pulled her from the shelter and placed her into one of their loving foster homes where she could heal. After treatment from vet staff and love from her foster, Wilma was transported to her forever home in Colorado where she is living out her happiest days!

After reaching out to RPM about this donation they replied immediately saying “WOW!! Thank you so much for this! Truly so amazing and beyond helpful!! Our 11th anniversary is coming up this month, so this is just a fantastic surprise for us!! Thank you all so much again. This is so great!!”

Many thanks to Rescued Pets Movement for continuing to step up and meet the needs of animals both far and wide across the United States through dedicated hard work, and conviction.
