We are excited to announce that BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter) is our latest Collab for a Cause partner! Puppie Love is proud to have partnered with BARCS in various ways for over two years, and we are thrilled to continue working with them. Located in our shared hometown of Baltimore, MD, BARCS is an open-admission shelter that welcomes every animal in need, regardless of health, age, temperament, or history of abuse or neglect. This includes dogs, cats, and small companion animals, as well as farm animals, wildlife, and exotic animals.
As a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, BARCS fills the role of animal sheltering and care for Baltimore City, operating as a safe haven and community resource 365 days a year, every year since 2005. BARCS upholds an unwavering commitment to the animals they serve through private donations from the community and beyond. We are proud supporters of our neighborhood shelter, BARCS, and are thrilled to announce this new opportunity to support them!

More Than Pet Adoptions
While BARCS’ primary mission is to find loving homes for homeless animals, their impact goes far beyond adoptions. They serve as an emergency triage center for sick, injured, abused, and neglected animals, providing life-saving care when it’s needed most. BARCS is also one of the largest comprehensive pet owner resource centers in Baltimore, helping thousands of animals stay out of the shelter by supporting families in crisis. A progressive leader in national animal welfare, BARCS not only saves lives but also creates meaningful employment and volunteer opportunities for hundreds across the Baltimore community. Each year, BARCS cares for over 12,000 animals, including dogs, cats, wildlife, farm animals, exotic pets, and small companions. Their veterinary team performs over 110,000 exams, including follow-ups, and completes 6,000 spay/neuter surgeries to help prevent unwanted litters. Through their public clinics, 5,000 owned pets receive vaccinations, medical care, and vital supplies. And behind the scenes, 30,000 volunteer hours are donated annually to provide hands-on care and support their lifesaving programs.
BARCS is a large, multi-faceted organization, and every piece of their operation plays a role in saving lives. These programs rely on ongoing community support, and that’s why we’re so excited to release these special items in direct support of BARCS and the incredible work they do every day.
